Microsoft has released version 0.9.5 of TypeScript, the statically typed superset of JavaScript.
The new release fixes over 100 issues, including memory leaks, CPU usage, crashes and compiler correctness.
For more details, see the official announcement.

According the the TypeScript roadmap, this is probably the last release before releasing the 1.0 release candidate, so we are pretty close to the final version 1.0.

Microsoft also revealed that Xbox Music (a cloud based music streaming service) and Visual Studio Online (an online IDE and a project lead by Erich Gamma) are built using TypeScript.
