StatCounter Browser Market Share July 2012 – Google Chrome is #1

According to statcounter.com, Google Chrome is the most used browser worldwide in July 2012 – with a market share of 33.81%.

When looking at worldwide market shares of July 2012, these are the most used browsers:

  • Google Chrome – 33.81%
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer – 32.04%
  • Mozilla Firefox – 23.73%

When looking at the european browser market shares, Chrome is number one, but Firefox is used more often compared to IE:

  • Google Chrome – 30.69%
  • Mozilla Firefox – 29.84%
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer – 27.71%

When looking at North America, the situation is different, with IE dominating:

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer – 39.81%
  • Google Chrome – 25.96%
  • Mozilla Firefox – 19.84%

Finally, here are the market shares for Germany, where Firefox is the number one:

  • Mozilla Firefox – 48.24%
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer – 23.89%
  • Google Chrome – 16.8%

An interesting fact is that in all of the regions mentioned above, the market share of Google Chrome is constantly increasing.
